“We are
at a time when many of us have lost one of our greatest gifts, a
deep sense of connection to the natural world around us. With this
one of a kind program, our aim is to reconnect participants with
nature, by means of another special gift, our individual
creativity.”
The full program includes the slide presentation, "A Journey Through
Nature To Creativity", given by the artist, Jim Ramsdell.
This is followed by a carving and painting
demonstration, as well as a hands-on art project. Each
young artist taps into their unique creativity, as they
paint their own wooden feather or fish. It all wraps up
with a guided tour of the exhibit led by Jim and an
educational visit to his solar powered, mobile
workshop. It is a blend of the senses, guaranteed to
capture the hearts, minds, and imaginations of young and
old alike. |
